About Us

Sourcing Ethiopian excellence while empowering consumers and preserving the ancient equatorial forest.

Our Roots Run Deep: The Nole Difference

The journey of NOLE COFFEE began with a profound commitment to the land. In 2010, co-founder Abebe D. Rebi started planting healthy coffee trees on family land in the Nole Region of Ethiopia. Planted under large Acacia trees for natural shade and soil fertility, that initial effort has grown into a vibrant ecosystem featuring more than 250,000 coffee trees—a crop that can remain productive for over 60 years.

Protecting the Cradle of Coffee: Shade-Grown & Sustainable

We are dedicated to expanding mountain shade coffee farms—a practice that is vital to reducing deforestation and land degradation. The Nole Region is one of the few areas that still hosts the equatorial forest, which Ethiopia is urgently trying to protect. By engaging in deep, respectful partnerships with local communities, NOLE COFFEE actively contributes to the preservation of this invaluable natural heritage.
