In 2010, Abebe D. Rebi, the cofounder of the company, began planting healthy coffee trees on the family land. Today, there are more than 250,000 coffee trees. The coffee trees are planted under large acacia trees which provide shade and increase soil fertility. Coffee trees can be productive for more than 60 years. We aim to inspire the consumers by showing it’s possible to deliver a quality service to customers, employees, vendors, shareholders, and the community in a long-term, sustainable way.
We hope to play a key role in expanding mountain shade coffee farms. Such practice reduce deforestation and degradation of the farm lands. Ethiopia aims to regain and protect its equatorial forest which has been reducing at alarming rate. Nole Region is one of the few areas that still has equatorial forest. By engaging and creating partnership with locals, it is possible to reduce deforestation.
